these are the production companies that has created Napoleons dynamite

we see here the main character and with out seeing any of the film you see that he is a geek and this is noticeable from the U.F.O abduction insurance card so this straight away will give the audience the allusion that he will be a very lonely geeky person and will not have many friends.
from the student card we see that he goes to preston high and he is still a student so this gives an age of napoleon

from the next selection of screen shots from the title sequence you see from the food first of all you notice the names which ar the cast but the food could suggest that he lves a very un healthy life style and east very basic and fatty food plus from the amount of basic food this could denotate that his life is very bland and basic.

the following screen shot give you a deeper life story about Napoleon it shows that he is very intelligent because of the books that he has taken out of the library which were about UFOs so this backs up the first stereotype that he is a geek.
then we see more unhealthy food and the lip balm which could mean that he does really care about his appearance till its to a stage where is irritating.

in these final screen shots you see drawing of medieval character Conan the barbarian this could conotate that he is a very knowledgeable child that has read a lot about medieval history and he like to draw scenes depicting his victories and space ships is also drawn on one of the pieces of paper again expressing his love of space and aliens.

from these title sequences we see that napoleon is a geek who loves his science fiction, food, knowledge, history and school and we can see all hints of this from what the title sequence shows us.

                                                                            Saul bass
Saul bass has been famous for doing many title sequences in his time and some of his most famous title sequences are 'the man with the golden arm' and Alfred hitch cocks 'north by north west' in addition to this he worked on a variety of many posters that have been shown to be some of the most creative and inspiration work that has caused many of the new film sequences and the advertisement poster to be created.

this is the title sequence from the film psycho this is a good classic film which is well know through out all generations plus it has a very strong title sequence.
this sequence has very strong relativity to Saul bass's previous work the title consists a very strong and loud instrumental music this relate to his older work for example the man with a golden arm furthermore Saul bass has made a sequence that has very basic animations which is simple transitions but they go with the sequence very well because of the way that the film title sequence is a very old fashioned and unique.

the lay out of the title sequence show that saul bass has chosen to put the production company first then the  director of the film second then the title which he has done for other films because he is given credit to the two part that have created the most im put so he is given them the most credit straight away.

the following day
we presented about saul bass i feel that in our group we had improved fro the week before because we had a lot more detail and we had a fully constructed power point so we had no need to improvise nothing, I feel we had made a massive improvement and we still have more to show.

http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/10/04/the-art-of-the-film-title-throughout-cinema-history/

this is called the waltograph this is quite interesting because this a completely new type of font that is now used throughout all of the Disney enterprise and all of the film include this signature font design and it all started from a simple yet elegant shape and way of being written.

the birth place of the title sequence was from a man named Maurice Binder worked on the title designs of 14 films about Agent 007, including the first episode, “Dr. No” in 1962. Maurice Binder created the famous gun-barrel sequence that has become the signature title sequence for the James bond series.

to kill a mocking bird

this title sequence has been named one of the best designed and made title sequences ever made in history and and this is where they start pushing the boundaries of how they can put the title sequences together and when this was made was the year where the title sequence was thriving and directors such as Alfred hitch cock and blake edwards was making the very best of the film industry and they were made purely to surprise the audience.

Saul Bass had some ideas and he used some of techniques for his title sequences: montage, live action, cut-out paper animation, typography in motion, to name a few. Whatever technique he used, Bass summarized the film as a metaphor that often shone with creativity.
this had caught the eyes of other directors and he had a presentation in Italy of his work to show off all the skills he had

this title sequence was quite significant because the potential of digital graphics and typography has attracted some of the most creative minds to motion design. Pixar and Disney have reserved crucial parts in the branding of their films for the title sequences. Using animated characters to introduce viewers to the story became a popular trend. Such talented graphic designers as Susan Bradley Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., WALL-E, Ratatouille and from this title sequence the motions design and now all

media Tuesday and Wednesday the 6th and 7th

in this week in media i have done a variety of activities towards my course work, we have been given the task of making the title sequence of our choice and making the plan for the whole film.
so far our idea has been to make a horror/ suspense thriller and from this we had two hours to sit down and write all the ideas that we had to make the task and film title possible we chose to make the setting of the film in a dark wood ( danson/ oxleas woods) then from this we chose that we would use the back story of blair witch project/ grave encounters and to conclude we had to then choose what type of characters and we thought it would be best to have young teens for our story.

the plot of the story is that 5 kids go to a woods and camp out for the night in the woods even thought there has been rumors that it was haunted but they still being teenagers go in to the wood with the unknown terror that will inflict on to their lives and they will not discover till there last days and it all starts when they discover a shed that looks innocent but treacherous but they have no choice after the sudden thunderstorm that erupts and forces them in to the shed and from there they will not come out the same....

after we had planed it all out we was told that we had to present the film and all of the findings to the class

WEDNESDAY
in lesson we had to present the power point to the class and it was not a success purely because we simply didn't have enough on the power point and we had to put lots of detail but we had not included it but we tried our best to improvise to the questions but that was not the best plan as this came out with the most random answers but to conclude we will be revisiting the power point and making improvements.
